Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi to launch 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2026 at Varanasi on 9th September

The Ministry of Women and Child Development is launching the 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2026 at Varanasi. The month-long campaign centres on the theme “Hamari Anganwadi Hamari Jimmedari”, placing Anganwadi Centres at the heart of community-led action for nutrition and early childhood development. The campaign is structured around five key themes: Dietary Diversity and Adequate Protein, Fresh Hot Cooked Meals at Anganwadi Centres, Community Ownership and Accountability (including the constitution of Anganwadi Management Committees), Nutrition, Early Stimulation and Education for Childhood Development, and celebrating Ten Years of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. The initiative drives awareness, community participation, and service delivery reforms under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 to support maternal and child health.
