Appointments to the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has announced new appointments to the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK). Shri Bhagwat Prasad Makwana has been appointed as Chairperson, Shri Kaishab Bihari as Vice-Chairperson, and Shri Manoj Kumar Balmiki, Smt. Sushma Gaudiyal, and Shri Ravi Ramu Kalose as Members. Their tenure runs until March 31, 2028, matching the remaining term of the current Commission. The Ministry noted that the appointees bring diverse backgrounds in social work, economics, public service, academia, and municipal administration, aimed at furthering the mandate of safeguarding the rights, dignity, and socio-economic well-being of Safai Karamcharis.
