Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh Says RISE Conclave Puts Spotlight on India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 Startup Powerhouse

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the 6th RISE Conclave 2026 in Kolkata, highlighting the role of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in India's expanding startup ecosystem. Organised jointly by four CSIR laboratories (CSIR-CGCRI, CSIR-IICB, CSIR-CMERI, and CSIR-IMMT) under the theme 'Driving Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Viksit Bharat 2047,' the conclave focuses on a 4M framework covering Minerals, Medicine, Materials, and Machines. The event brings together startups, industry representatives, researchers, and government officials to accelerate the lab-to-market journey of indigenous technologies, supported by initiatives like the government's ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund and the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
