Raksha Mantri to undertake a three-day visit to Sri Lanka

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh is scheduled to undertake an official three-day visit to Sri Lanka from September 08 to 10, 2026, leading a high-level delegation of senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of External Affairs. He will hold consultations with the leadership of Sri Lanka and interact with the Indian diaspora in Colombo. The visit highlights bilateral relations anchored in regional security, defence, economic and trade cooperation, building upon India's assistance during Sri Lanka's economic crisis and its role as a first responder following Cyclone Ditwah in 2025 under the 'Neighbourhood First' policy and the MAHASAGAR vision.
