Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurates the Archery Association of India’s ‘World Archery Para Series’ through video conferencing

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the Archery Association of India’s ‘World Archery Para Series’ via video conferencing. The competition, scheduled from September 5 to 9, 2026, features 108 athletes from 19 countries. Highlighting India's vision of becoming a global sporting hub, the Union Home Minister noted plans to develop international-standard training centers, sports equipment production, and sports injury care facilities in Ahmedabad and across India. He also mentioned that Ahmedabad is set to host the centenary edition of the 2030 Commonwealth Games and has submitted a bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games.
