NIFT joint convocation 2026 held in presence of Hon’ble President of India

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Joint Convocation 2026 was held on August 31, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, with the President of India as the Chief Guest. The event involved 315 graduating students from NIFT Mumbai and gathered participants from 18 NIFT campuses nationwide. The President highlighted the role of the Craft Cluster Initiative in supporting artisans through design and market linkages. The address underscored the necessity of sustainability, the use of local materials, and textile waste recycling. Graduates were encouraged to balance global competitiveness with India's cultural heritage to support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The ceremony recognized student achievements through various awards, including gold medals and graduation show awards, emphasizing innovation, social responsibility, and inclusive growth.
