Ministry of Heavy Industries successfully observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 from 16th to 31st August 2026

The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) observed Swachhata Pakhwada from 16th to 31st August 2026 under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The campaign included a pledge-taking ceremony administered by Secretary Shri Kamran Rizvi, felicitations for sanitation and support staff by Joint Secretary Shri Vijay Mittal, cleanliness and plantation drives at GPOA-3, and an essay writing competition. Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and Autonomous Bodies (ABs) under MHI—including BHEL, ICAT Manesar, NEPA Limited, Bridge and Roof Company, Hindustan Salts Limited, Instrumentation Limited, HMT Limited, and the National Automotive Board—participated through various activities such as waste disposal, scrap removal, cleaning drives, quizzes, and plantation events.
