Raksha Mantri holds bilateral talks with Belgium’s Defence Minister in New Delhi

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh held a bilateral meeting with Belgium’s Minister of Defence and Foreign Trade, Mr Theo Francken, in New Delhi on September 03, 2026. The discussions covered the full range of defence and industrial cooperation. Both sides agreed to expand ties through a defence cooperation dialogue, high-level visits, training, and capacity building. The leaders also addressed regional peace and security issues, recognized the importance of maritime security collaboration in the Indo-Pacific, and affirmed that India-Belgium relations are grounded in mutual trust and respect. The meeting took place alongside talks between Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister of Belgium, Mr Bart De Wever.
