Districts as Export Hubs
The Districts as Export Hubs (DEH) initiative is a convergence framework aimed at realizing inclusive export growth by transforming every district into a center of export planning. Building upon the One District One Product (ODOP) concept, DEH leverages ongoing Central and State schemes to connect local producers with international markets, strengthen MSMEs, and generate employment. As of January 2026, the initiative covers over 770 districts across the country. Implemented through a layered institutional architecture involving State Export Promotion Committees (SEPCs) and District Export Promotion Committees (DEPCs), the framework focuses on mapping district-specific products, meeting global standards, enabling digital exports via e-commerce and Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras, and building exporter capacities.
