Advisor to Prime Minister, Shri Tarun Kapoor Reviews Rehabilitation and Development Initiatives at Belgaria and Karmatand Townships

The Advisor to the Prime Minister, Shri Tarun Kapoor, conducted a review of rehabilitation, skill development, education, and livelihood generation initiatives at the Belgaria and Karmatand townships in Dhanbad under the Jharia Master Plan (JMP). The visit included inspections of schools, multi-skill development institutes operating with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) collaboration, Self-Help Group stalls under JharShilp and Project Aarohi, and newly inaugurated community facilities like a Health Sub Centre and Model Anganwadi. Discussions also focused on textile-sector employment opportunities and coal mine fire management coordination involving Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and the Jharia Rehabilitation and Development Authority (JRDA).
