The Ministry of Rural Development reports the nationwide expansion and success of District-level Panch Sammelans organized to facilitate the effective implementation of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin): VB-G RAM G Act, 2025. Aimed at orienting elected representatives and functionaries of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) across all three tiers, a total of 1,338 Panch Sammelans have been successfully organized with the participation of over 5.26 lakh representatives, functionaries, and officials. Twenty-three States and Union Territories have completed their scheduled Sammelans. The campaign familiarizes grassroots leaders with provisions such as the Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan, Rural Rozgar Guarantee Card, asset creation, convergence, social audit, and grievance redressal mechanisms, thereby placing Gram Panchayats at the center of rural development and grassroots governance.
