PARIVARTAN Scheme gains momentum: 1,300+ beneficiaries registered, 42 Banks/NBFCs and 15 auto OEMs onboarded across Delhi-NCR

The PARIVARTAN (Programme for Accelerated Renewal and Incentivization of Vehicle Assets for Reducing Transport Air Pollution and Network Emissions) Scheme aims to replace over 2 lakh old trucks and buses (BS-IV or prior) in Delhi-NCR with cleaner vehicles. Approved by the Union Cabinet on June 3, 2026, and launched on July 14, 2026, the scheme features a financial outlay of ₹9,585 crore. It provides incentives including interest savings, road tax and registration fee waivers, ex-showroom price discounts from OEMs, and monthly fuel vouchers or one-time electric vehicle incentives. As of August 27, 2026, the scheme has registered over 1,300 beneficiaries, with 42 financial institutions and 15 auto OEMs onboarded.
