Inaugural India-Kuwait Joint Defence Committee Meeting Held in New Delhi

The inaugural meeting of the India-Kuwait Joint Defence Committee (JDC) was held in New Delhi on August 28, 2026. Co-chaired by Joint Secretary Shri Amitabh Prasad and Brigadier General Raed Alsakran, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation in training, military exercises, military medicine, staff talks, defence industry, and Research & Development (R&D). This operationalises the objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation signed during the Prime Minister's visit to Kuwait in December 2024, during which bilateral relations were upgraded to a Strategic Partnership.
