“Light is the Most Important Element in Visual Storytelling”: Ravi Varman at NFDC Cinematography Masterclass

Cinematographer Ravi Varman discussed his creative philosophy, emphasizing that light is the fundamental element of visual storytelling. He shared his collaborative process with directors, noting that he draws inspiration from painting and art to determine color palettes and frame composition. He also advised aspiring filmmakers to prioritize craftsmanship and dedication to art over commercial success.
