Government Strengthens Monitoring and Timely Delivery of Scheduled Caste Welfare Schemes

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is implementing welfare schemes for Scheduled Caste communities, focusing on educational advancement, socio-economic empowerment, livelihood promotion, and protection. Key initiatives include the Post-Matric and Pre-Matric Scholarships, National Fellowship, National Overseas Scholarship, Top Class Education, Free Coaching, PM-AJAY, SHRESHTA, Venture Capital Fund for SCs, and skill-development programmes. To strengthen accountability, fund utilisation, and timely delivery, the Government uses Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), SNA-SPARSH onboarding, third-party evaluations, social audits, internal reviews, and regular coordination with States and Union Territories via regional meetings and national conferences.
