Highlights of Telecom Subscription Data at the end of July 2026

The Ministry of Communications released the telecom subscription data for India at the end of July 2026. The total number of telephone subscribers increased from 1,348.08 million at the end of June 2026 to 1,354.28 million at the end of July 2026, registering a monthly growth rate of 0.46%. Overall tele-density rose from 94.31% to 94.68% during the same period. Total broadband subscribers increased to 1,094.48 million, and wireless (mobile + FWA) subscribers reached 1,306.27 million. Additionally, 15.98 million subscribers submitted requests for Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in July 2026, and active wireless mobile subscribers based on peak Visitor Location Register (VLR) data stood at 1,204.01 million.
