PM Narendra Modi Outlines Vision for a Sporting Viksit Bharat at Khelo India Dialogue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Khelo India Samvaad via video conference as part of National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, connecting with youth across more than 5,000 institutes. He emphasized that sports serve as a campaign to integrate youth energy to build a Viksit Bharat and called for mastering global sporting disciplines where India does not currently participate. The event featured discussions on India's long-term strategy for the 2036 Olympics, the launch of a massive national Talent Hunt for children aged 5 to 15, and the role of the National Sports Governance Act in promoting transparency and accountability. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and sports personalities like Gagan Narang and Sheetal Devi also spoke at the event.
