Convergence for Rural Development: DDWS urges States/UTs to integrate works of JJM 2.0 and SBM-G 2.0 under VB-G RAM G Act

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development, has urged States and UTs to converge the works of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0 and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) SBM-(G) 2.0 under the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025. Aiming for integrated rural development, water security, and resilience, the initiative emphasizes harmonizing Viksit Gram Panchayat Plans with Village Action Plans, utilizing geospatial planning tools like Yuktdhara, and registering assets on the Viksit Bharat National Rural Infrastructure Stack.
