Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurates the ‘Gujarat Gaurav Sarovar’ in Amreli, Gujarat

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the 'Gujarat Gaurav Sarovar' in Amreli, Gujarat, which was constructed by the Harikrishna Group and the Dholakia Foundation. Spanning 21 acres with a capacity of 400 million liters, the sarovar aims to aid water availability for agriculture, drinking, and groundwater conservation. During the event, the Home Minister highlighted various water conservation and management initiatives undertaken in Gujarat and nationally since 2001, including the construction of check dams, the Narmada project, the SAUNI Yojana, the Sujalam Sufalam Yojana, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, and the 'Catch the Rain' campaign.
