Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Jitin Prasada Concludes Official Visit to Morocco; Co-Chairs 7th India–Morocco Joint Commission

Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, concluded an official visit to Morocco and co-chaired the 7th India–Morocco Joint Commission meeting alongside H.E. Mr. Omar Hejira. Both nations agreed to double bilateral trade over the next five years, aiming to build on a trade volume that reached around USD 4 billion in 2025. They agreed to establish a Joint Working Group to explore a preferential trade agreement and address tariff and non-tariff barriers. Key agreements signed include a Memorandum of Understanding on food safety between FSSAI and Morocco's ONSSA, and a Cultural Exchange Programme for 2026–2030. Furthermore, both countries will celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027.
