Capacity Building of Mind, Alongside Skills, equally Essential for India to Remain Globally Relevant: says Union Minister Jitendra Singh

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized at a roundtable on capacity building that capacity building of the mind, alongside technical skills, is essential for India to remain globally relevant. He stressed that capacity building must evolve into a collective, whole-of-society approach involving government, the private sector, and society to address rapid technological and societal changes. The Minister highlighted ongoing initiatives such as the iGOT platform for government officials, the National Research Foundation, and a ₹1 lakh crore RDI funding initiative, while calling for greater private participation, a culture of philanthropy for research, pragmatism in governance, and international collaboration with the Global South.
