LOKAYAN 2026 – INDIAN NAVAL SHIP SUDARSHINI DEPARTS LISBON AFTER THREE-DAY PORT CALL

The Indian Navy’s sail training ship INS Sudarshini completed a three-day port call at Lisbon, Portugal, on August 25, 2026, as part of the Lokayan 26 transoceanic expedition. During the visit, the Commanding Officer of INS Sudarshini met with senior Portuguese Navy officials, including Rear Admiral Miguel Bessa Pacheco and Rear Admiral Joao Paulo Silva Pereira, to reinforce institutional ties. Indian Navy sea trainees visited the Portuguese Naval Academy to interact with counterparts and share training perspectives. The visit also included a deck reception with military officials, diplomats, and members of the Indian diaspora, highlighting maritime cooperation between India and Portugal.
