Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, participated in the launch of the book 'Kaho Kalidasa!' authored by Yugul Joshi at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi. The book examines the life and literary works of the classical Sanskrit poet Kalidasa, focusing on themes such as love, separation, responsibility, nature, and the representation of female characters. The Minister highlighted that Kalidasa’s portrayals of women emphasize consciousness and dignity rather than mere aesthetics. The event addressed the historical scarcity of biographical details regarding the poet, suggesting that literary explorations serve to interpret his sensibilities. The book serves as a creative dialogue between contemporary perspectives and the poet's historical and cultural legacy.
