36th Annual Conference of Vice Chancellors of Agricultural Universities Commences in New Delhi

The 36th Annual Conference of Vice Chancellors of Agricultural Universities, organised under the theme “Reimagining Agricultural Higher Education for ViksitBharat@2047,” commenced in New Delhi. Inaugurated by the Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, the two-day conference brings together senior officials from DARE, ICAR, and agricultural universities to discuss reforms in agricultural higher education, research, and institutional governance. Key discussions focus on transitioning from traditional models to a skill-driven, innovation-led ecosystem, strengthening industry-academia partnerships, aligning research with national priorities, student-centric academic reforms, faculty development, and leveraging data-driven decision-making to benefit farmers and build a resilient agricultural sector.
