Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Convenes National Workshop on Samagra Shishu Bal Swasthya Karyakram (SSBSK)

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare convened a two-day National Workshop on the Samagra Shishu Bal Swasthya Karyakram (SSBSK) in Maharashtra. SSBSK, launched by Union Minister Shri J.P. Nadda on June 29, 2026, integrates Home-Based New-born Care (HBNC) and Home-Based Care for Young Child (HBYC) into a unified, risk-stratified, and digitally enabled continuum of care for children from birth to 36 months. The workshop focused on operationalizing SSBSK guidelines, risk-differentiated care, and utilizing the Shaishav App for digital tracking, home visits, follow-ups, and referrals to improve child survival, growth, and development outcomes.
