IICA Conducts inaugural session of 11th Batch of its Certified CSR Professional Programme

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, inaugurated the 11th Batch of its Certified CSR Professional Programme. The virtual session brought together 45 professionals from Central Public Sector Enterprises, corporates, government institutions, academia, and civil society. Dignominaries including the DG & CEO of IICA, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Coal, and the Joint Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises spoke on shifting corporate social responsibility (CSR) from mere expenditure to measurable impact, outcomes, and value addition. Key statistics cited included a CSR expenditure of ₹34,908.75 crore in FY 2023-24 and a cumulative total of over ₹1,44,159 crore from FY 2019-20 to FY 2023-24, alongside discussions on underutilised Schedule VII areas, capacity building of implementing agencies, technology integration, and alignment with ESG goals.
