Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Annpurna Devi, has urged citizens to report any instances or suspicions of child marriage by calling the Child Helpline 1098. In a statement, the Minister described child marriage as a serious blow to the rights, education, health, and future of children rather than just a social evil. She appealed for collective action from citizens to protect the dreams and rights of daughters and to fulfill the resolve of achieving a Child Marriage Free Bharat.
