Students are the future of the largest democracy in the world: CEC Gyanesh Kumar

The Election Commission of India organised the second regional conference on Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELC 2.0) and ECINET in Lucknow to strengthen electoral literacy and democratic awareness among young citizens through educational institutions. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar highlighted that ELCs are vital for imparting knowledge of the electoral process, registration, polling, and counting. ELC 2.0 operates under the tagline 'Learn Democracy. Lead Democracy.' and functions as a digitally enabled platform leveraging the ECINet digital network to promote continuous, year-round electoral education across schools and higher education institutions in India.
