Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Canada and the United States of America from 25th August to 2nd September 2026. The visit includes participating in the inaugural Economic and Financial Dialogue with Canada's Minister of Finance and National Revenue, holding investor roundtables and business discussions covering sectors like energy, artificial intelligence, and critical minerals, and interacting with the Indian diaspora in Toronto and Chicago. In Asheville, North Carolina, she will lead the Indian delegation at the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting under the United States G20 Presidency. The itinerary also features financial sector engagements and an investor roundtable in New York.
