Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Jitin Prasada on Official Visit to Morocco

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Shri Jitin Prasada is on an official visit to Morocco from 24 to 25 August 2026 to co-chair the 7th Session of the India–Morocco Joint Commission with his counterpart H.E. Mr. Omar Hejira. The discussions focus on diversifying the trade basket, enhancing market access, and reviewing bilateral economic and commercial cooperation across diverse sectors including fertilizer production, energy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and digital transformation. The visit includes plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on food safety between FSSAI and Morocco's ONSSA, alongside a Cultural Exchange Programme for 2026–2030, ahead of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027.
