CBN busts inter-state heroin syndicate in ‘Op Black Hawk’; seizes over 18.6 kg crude heroin

The Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) MP and UP Units conducted 'Operation Black Hawk', successfully seizing over 18.6 kg of crude heroin and arresting three members of an inter-state trafficking network. The back-to-back operations near Lucknow involved intercepting an Assam-registered car and a heavy commercial truck, which used fabricated fuel tank cavities and secret body chambers to conceal the narcotics originating from a North-Eastern state. The suspects have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
