National Zoological Park organises 2nd ‘Tree Walk’ and 11th ‘Sunday Bird Walk’ at Delhi Zoo

The National Zoological Park in New Delhi organized the 2nd edition of the 'Tree Walk' and the 11th 'Sunday Bird Walk' on August 23, 2026, as part of its Citizen Science Initiative. Led by expert guides, participants documented 42 bird species (including over 150 Painted Storks beginning to nest) and 40 tree species. The program aims to encourage public participation in biodiversity documentation, monitoring, and conservation awareness. Future walks are scheduled for August 30, 2026, with prior registration required through the official website or the 'NZP Sathi' mobile application.
