Ministry of Tribal Affairs to Organise National Conclave on Tribal Languages & Museums in Mysuru, Karnataka

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is organizing a three-day National Conclave on Tribal Languages & Museums in Mysuru, Karnataka, from August 24–26, 2026. The event brings together stakeholders to deliberate on documenting, preserving, and revitalizing tribal languages, alongside strengthening Tribal Museums and Tribal Freedom Fighter Museums (TFFMs) across the country. Key launches during the conclave include an upgrade to the Adi Vaani platform with five new languages and an iOS application, a Tribot platform, Karnataka Primers in tribal languages, an MoU with the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), and a Chatbot. The conclave features sessions on language technology, multilingual education, and community-led museum curation.
