Union Minister Giriraj Singh Reviews Textile Recovery Facility in Navi Mumbai

Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh reviewed the Textile Recovery Facility in Navi Mumbai on the Foundation Day of the Textiles Committee. During his visit, a Letter of Intent was signed between the Textiles Committee and Refibre to develop a digital circular textile infrastructure platform for collection, traceability, and impact measurement. The Minister emphasised strengthening recycling and circularity, reducing dependence on natural resources, and expanding the project beyond the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area. The facility undertakes collection, sorting, upcycling, and recycling of textile waste to divert it from municipal landfills.
