Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi Chairs Consultative Committee Meeting of the Ministry of Women and Child Development on Mission Shakti

Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi chaired a Consultative Committee meeting of the Ministry of Women and Child Development in Kolkata, focusing on the key components of Mission Shakti: One Stop Centres (OSC), Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), and SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW). Mission Shakti is structured under 'Sambal' and 'Samarthya' sub-schemes for women's safety, security, and empowerment. Discussions highlighted that over 15.20 lakh women have been assisted through 991 functional OSCs, more than 4.60 crore mothers have received over Rs. 21,343 crore under PMMVY, and 36 State and 765 District SANKALP units are operational across the country.
