Quarterly Bulletin of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (QBUSE)

The National Statistics Office (NSO), under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), released the Quarterly Bulletin of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (QBUSE) for the April–June 2026 survey period. The bulletin provides high-frequency estimates derived from the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE). According to the release, the estimated number of unincorporated establishments grew by 9.20% year-on-year to 8.67 crore, while total employment reached 13.70 crore. The services sector emerged as a major driver of employment growth, and women accounted for over 30% of total employment. Additionally, the survey highlights progress in digital adoption, with roughly 80% of establishments utilizing cashless modes of transactions, alongside an increase in formal enterprise registrations.
