NHAI and National Road Safety Board Deliberates on Strengthening Road Safety on National Highways
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the National Road Safety Board (NRSB) held an institutional meeting in New Delhi to review and strengthen road safety systems across the National Highway network. The meeting focused on establishing a structured framework for sustained collaboration to improve safety standards and reduce accidents. Discussions covered current safety management practices, highway engineering, black spot management, Intelligent Transport Systems, and emergency response mechanisms. The deliberations also highlighted the adoption of advanced technology tools such as Advanced Traffic Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence solutions, and digital mapping of ambulances, alongside initiatives for first-aid training at toll plazas and better coordination with state administrations.
