Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu chairs Consultative Committee of Civil Aviation in Mysuru

The Parliamentary Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Civil Aviation met in Mysuru, Karnataka, marking the first time the committee met outside Delhi since 2017. Chaired by Union Minister Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, the meeting focused on the Next Phase of UDAN, reforms in the Flying Training Organisation (FTO) ecosystem, and the transformation of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA). Key points highlighted include an allocated award of ₹28,840 crore under the Next Phase of UDAN, an increase in FTOs from 32 in 2020 to 41 in 2026, and a budget surplus achieved by IGRUA along with high aircraft utilization hours exceeding global benchmarks.
