Meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee Held at the Ministry of Rural Development

The meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Rural Development was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Discussions focused on promoting the use of Hindi and other Indian languages in official correspondence and government functioning. The Minister emphasized that policies and programmes should be communicated to rural populations in accessible languages, criticized excessive dependence on English as a colonial mindset, and directed that correspondence with State Governments be conducted in regional languages where appropriate.
