65TH SUBROTO CUP INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT OPENS WITH GRAND CEREMONY AT AMBEDKAR STADIUM

The 65th edition of the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament commenced on August 18, 2026, at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. Organized under the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society, the tournament features 108 teams competing in three categories: Junior Girls (U-17), Junior Boys (U-17), and Sub-Junior Boys (U-15). The teams are organized into eight groups per category, with winners advancing to the knockout stages. The opening event featured a match between Meghalaya and Chandigarh, with Meghalaya winning 2-0. The tournament aims to provide a platform for young athletes to develop their skills in grassroots football.
