Defence Secretary concludes two-day visit to Armenia

Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh concluded a two-day official visit to Armenia from August 17-18, 2026. During the visit, he held bilateral meetings with Armenian leadership including the Minister of Defence, First Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of General Staff, Deputy Defence Minister, Minister of Hi-tech Industry, and Deputy Foreign Minister. Discussions spanned ongoing military-technical cooperation, capacity building, training, and defence R&D. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in joint collaboration, innovation, and research, and exchanged Terms of Reference for institutionalising Joint Services Staff Talks.
