India to Host 5th Coast Guard Global Summit in New Delhi in February 2027

India will host the fifth Coast Guard Global Summit (CGGS) in New Delhi in February 2027, coinciding with the Swarnim Jayanti of the Bharatiya Tatrakshak (Indian Coast Guard). Preparatory engagements began with the Indian Coast Guard hosting the Working Level Meeting (WLM) of the 5th CGGS in hybrid mode. Discussions during the meeting focused on refining CGGS Meeting Guidelines, strengthening the Information Sharing Mechanism, developing the CGGS website, and enhancing collective capability building. The summit serves as a manifestation of Bharat’s MAHASAGAR vision to foster a collaborative and inclusive maritime order.
