Mumbai Port Opens Global Partnership Dialogue on Cruise, Marina, Shipbuilding and Waterfront Development
The Mumbai Port Authority hosted an interactive session with diplomatic missions, Consul Generals, and maritime stakeholders at the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal to discuss international cooperation in cruise tourism, marina development, shipbuilding, waterfront infrastructure, and maritime services. The Chairperson of Mumbai Port Authority emphasized the port's evolution beyond cargo operations into passenger movement, marine tourism, port-led development, and global trade, aligning with Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. Key projects presented during the dialogue included the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal, the Viksit Bharat Mumbai Marina, an International Convention Centre along the eastern waterfront, and a National Mega Shipbuilding Cluster in Maharashtra.
