Union Health Ministry Organises NLEP Review-cum-Capacity Building Workshop to Strengthen Leprosy Control Measures and Accelerate Interruption of Transmission

The Union Health Ministry organized a two-day National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) Review-cum-Capacity Building Workshop in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Organized by the Central Leprosy Division, the workshop brought together health officials, technical partners, and state and district-level officers to review the epidemiological situation, assess programme performance, and accelerate focused action toward achieving the Interruption of Transmission of leprosy. Key focus areas included early case detection, contact tracing, timely treatment, disability prevention, and leveraging data to guide targeted interventions in priority districts.
