India – Malaysia 2nd Joint Working Group Meeting held on Cooperation in field of Public Administration & Governance Reforms

The 2nd India–Malaysia Joint Working Group Meeting on Cooperation in the Field of Public Administration and Governance Reforms was held on August 18, 2026. Co-chaired by representatives from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) of India and the Public Service Department of Malaysia, the meeting reviewed progress since the first meeting in November 2024. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to bilateral cooperation in public administration, capacity building under the ITEC programme, and governance reforms. Discussions featured presentations on digital governance, Artificial Intelligence tools like the 'Samadhan Didi' chatbot in CPGRAMS, and Malaysia's public sector transformation framework. Additionally, the meeting discussed the Action plan for the Malaysia-India Governance Partnership: 2027-2029 Strategic Roadmap.
