South Central Zone Cultural Centre Showcases Rich Folk Heritage at Rashtrapati Bhavan

The South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur, under the Ministry of Culture, showcased folk traditions from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa during the 'At Home' programme at Rashtrapati Bhavan from August 15 to 17, 2026. A total of 120 artists presented traditional art forms, folk dances such as Lavani, Bhagoria, Muria, and Samai, and instrumental music. The venue featured traditional Maharashtrian décor, including rangoli, aakash kandil, and gates made from banana leaves and coconut leaves, highlighting the regional cultural heritage of Central India before a national audience.
