India Hosts Eighth BRICS Youth Energy Summit 2026 under its BRICS Chairship

India hosted the Eighth BRICS Youth Energy Summit 2026 virtually on August 17, 2026, under its BRICS Chairship. Operating under the Energy Track theme "सर्वेषां ऊर्जम्" (Energy for All), the summit brought together over 100 participants, including young professionals, government representatives, and international organizations like SEforALL, ISA, and IRENA. The event focused on three priority areas: Energy Security and Sustainability, Energy Access and Equity, and Technology and Innovation. Discussions emphasized youth-driven research, technology demonstrations, and capacity-building. Indian youth representatives showcased national initiatives including PM-KUSUM, PM Surya Ghar, the SHANTI Act, RDSS, the India Energy Stack (IES), and the BRICS Digital Centre of Excellence (DCoE) on Smart Grids and Energy Storage.
