Historic Turnout Marks West Bengal’s First-Ever Kaushal Mahotsav in Balurghat hosted by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), in collaboration with the Government of West Bengal and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), hosted West Bengal’s first-ever Kaushal Mahotsav in Balurghat. The event aimed to connect job seekers from Dakshin Dinajpur and neighboring regions with employment opportunities. Over 50 employers offering more than 7,000 job opportunities across sectors such as manufacturing, retail, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, food processing, and banking participated. The event recorded over 7,500 interviews and more than 4,500 shortlisted candidates. Dignitaries emphasized the role of the Skill India Mission in linking youth with gainful employment.
