AI, Quantum, Cybersecurity and Digital Tools are Rapidly Transforming Governance: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh addressed the 15-day refresher course for lateral entry officers (Joint Secretaries, Directors, and Deputy Secretaries), highlighting that technologies like AI, quantum, cybersecurity, and digital tools are rapidly transforming governance. He emphasized the necessity of continuous learning, adaptation, and effective communication across multiple stakeholders (government colleagues, political functionaries, media, and citizens) for civil servants. The Minister noted that about 63 officers have entered through the institutionalized lateral entry mechanism and reminded participants of their role as architects of India '47. The curriculum includes policy analysis, digital transformation, municipal finance, public health, cybersecurity, education, and government communication.
