12th BRICS Environment Ministers Meeting

At the 12th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting held under India’s BRICS 2026 Chairship, the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change along with other heads of delegations unveiled four knowledge compendiums prepared by the BRICS Environment Working Group. These publications cover sustainable lifestyles (including India's Mission LiFE, Environment Education Programme, and SAMBHAV Campaign), integrated wildfire management, integrated landscape-based greening approaches to address land degradation and biodiversity loss, and extended producer responsibility frameworks alongside circular economy practices.
